Jessica Rigby
Jess currently teaches at RJPA, KX Pilates, APDA Physie and Dance as well as teaching dance technique at the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School (APGS).
In 2022, Jess graduated with a Bachelor of Dance with AMPA, majoring in contemporary dance. She has furthered her dance career by performing in a full length contemporary work with DUTI’s Season 1 of The Performance Company under the direction of Evie Morris. She has performed in the NSW AusDance ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ event and Cancer Council’s Stars of the North and Stars of the East events. Jess has performed in multiple gigs and events throughout the years in various styles including showgirl, latin, contemporary and commercial dance, and has previously worked for Pistachio Entertainment which included promotional and corporate gigs.
Jess graduated with a Diploma of Dance in Elite Performance from Dargie Entertainment in 2019. Opportunities were provided during this course to perform at the Sydney Salsa and Mambo Festival and the “Cirque by Night” Melbourne Cup Day performance. In 2019 completed her RAD Intermediate ballet exam.
Jess has competed in physical culture, or commonly known as Physie from the age of 6, having been apart of many winning teams and placing every year, being the State Champion of her age division in 2020 for BJP. Jess was selected to be one of the performers on the 2021, 2022 and 2024 members syllabus DVD for the Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA). Jess is the choreographic team leader for the 13-Intermediate age groups, having choreographed various syllabus dances.
Competed in AASCF Dance in the styles of pom, jazz, and lyrical where she competed at Nationals, as well as dance eisteddfods in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. Choreographed the Junior Dance Ensemble at Davidson High School in 2018.
Jess loves to share her knowledge and passion for dance with her students and watch them grow and develop into confident dancers.
Miss Jess is currently teaching on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at our Willoughby venue.
